A Yorkshire Day Milestone
Yorkshire Day marked a special milestone: the third birthday of the West Yorkshire Liver Care Operational Delivery Network’s mobile clinic vehicle. Affectionately known as ‘O’Liver’, the unit was launched in 2023 and has become a familiar and valued part of the West Yorkshire Liver Care ODN team.
Bringing Liver Care Closer to Communities
Since its introduction in August 2023, O’Liver has played a vital role in taking care directly into local neighbourhoods. By improving access to liver health services, the mobile clinic has helped remove barriers, support earlier detection, and ensure people receive the right care at the right time.
Key Achievements
As we celebrate O’Liver’s third birthday, we are proud to share the service’s impact so far:
- 18,000 miles travelled reaching urban centres and remote communities with more equitable care.
- Over 11,000 patients seen supporting early detection, engagement, and personalised care across diverse populations.
- More than 1,300 referrals to secondary care enabling timely access to specialist treatment pathways.
