On Saturday 16 May 2026, the West Yorkshire Liver Care ODN Community Liver Health Checks (CLHC) team partnered with the Ghanaian Healthcare Community Leeds for a free health awareness and testing event aimed at improving access to vital health information and screening services across the Ghanaian local community.
The event brought together residents from across Leeds, offering them the opportunity to receive trusted health advice and undergo important checks in a welcoming, community centred environment.
The CLHC team supported the day by providing free fibroscans from our mobile clinic, alongside Hepatitis B and C testing, engagement was strong throughout the event.

In total, 20 fibroscans were completed on the day, helping individuals gain valuable insight into their liver health and signposting them to further support where needed.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Ghanaian Healthcare Community for inviting us to be part of this impactful initiative. Their commitment to improving community health is inspiring, and we look forward to future opportunities to work together to support the wellbeing of people across West Yorkshire.
