The Cancer Alliance will be hosting events supporting early cancer detection across the region.
The events are open to everyone and these sessions bring together local residents, healthcare organisations, support services, and community groups in a safe and supportive environment.
All events run from 10am – 12 noon and will be held at:
- Wednesday 3rd June 2026 – Red Roof Centre, Kinsley, WF9 5BP
- Thursday 4th June 2026 – Five Towns Christian Fellowship, Beancroft Street, Castleford WF10 5RR
- Tuesday 9th June 2026 – St Mary’s Community Centre, The Circle, Chequerfields, Pontefract, WF8 2AY
- Monday 29th June 2026 – Havercroft & Ryhill Centre, Mulberry Place, Ryhill, Wakefield WF4 2BD
- Friday 24th July 2026 – St George’s Lupset, Broadway, Lupset, Wakefield, WF2 8AA
At these events, you can learn more about cancer awareness and prevention, including how to recognise early signs and symptoms, explore local screening pathways and support services, speak with healthcare professionals, community organisations and access advice and support for patients, carers and families.
